Gene Lim’s reputation in storytelling, marketing and ability to forge strategic partnerships spans nearly 25 years. As founder and CEO of the creative agency MAV12, he works within the entertainment fields building brands through strategy, film and video production, digital, mobile, social media, and influencer outreach while leveraging proprietary algorithms and green screen technologies.
Gene has worked with such prominent and diverse Fortune 500 clients such as Disney, DreamWorks, 20th Century Fox, Sony, Universal Pictures, Microsoft, and Toyota. Recently, he executive produced the animated feature, Bilal, which premiered in the U.S. last year after winning a slew of international awards and accolades.
He is currently packaging a wide-ranging portfolio of upcoming worldwide films and television shows, while applying risk mitigation strategy and methodology for shareholder returns. Gene brings an extensive background in marketing, advertising, branding, consumer products, merchandising, packaging and promotions. He was V.P. of Sales for Kent H. Landsberg, a multinational packaging company, and went on to found and run two more companies in the marketing, promotional and entertainment space. Gene holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in Entrepreneurship.
On the philanthropic side, Gene served as Global Chairman of the Strategic Alliances Committee for the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global entity of entrepreneurs in over 57 countries. He also represents the U.S. on the G20 YEA (Young Entrepreneur’s Alliance), a global network of industrialized and developing nations championing the cause of entrepreneurship and world economic development.
