The Good Ones
Ellen and Ronny's relationship is on the rocks. On a night out with friends, their infidelities come to surface. Will their suspected betrayals reignite their lost passion or break them apart?
Way back in 1984, a lone passenger from Pennsylvania, barely a man, poked his head out of a Greyhound bus that had just pulled into the Hollywood, Vine street station. How he survived the year’s end, let alone the next thirty-five is anyone’s guess.
Making it onto any film set that would let him, Skyko loaded vans, lugged around the video assist, asked questions and absorbed every aspect he could about the filmmaking process. By chance, he landed at the Charles Conrad Acting Studio in Burbank, studied film acting and soon earned his SAG card. After a dozen small roles he realized his passion was for the opposite side of camera.
Becoming proficient on the computer in the early 90’s gave him a head start as sound engineer and non-linear film editor. Years of working on other people’s films taught Sky what worked and what didn’t. After many trial and error shorts and music video’s, in 2013 Sky finally wrote and directed his first 38 minute “Featurette” Head over Heels. In 2016 he directed the short The Good Ones and 2017 he wrote, directed, shot and edited the award winning short film Candy & Ronnie.
He has somehow managed to remain alive and in LA, has a beautiful wife and business partner and conspires to join the legion of successful filmmakers to have never worked on a film he doesn’t absolutely love. Skyko and Lucy Macedo operate their own production company Strad Films where he makes films, plays the violin and writes music in the majestic and luxurious suburb of L.A. Woodland Hills, CA.
